In this position, you’ll help maintain a safe and efficient research environment, support the development of semiconductor packaging processes, characterize power modules, and prepare CAD drawings. An interest in workplace safety is important—we’ll support you in building the knowledge and skills needed for this part of the role.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Support compliance with local laws and Hitachi Energy’s safety standards
Help implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures in the lab
Contribute to building a positive safety culture across the team
Assist in planning and organizing HSE-related activities and improvements
Lab Technician
Assemble and develop high-performance semiconductor modules and test substrates
Work with precision processes such as soldering, sintering, wire bonding, and encapsulation
Manage procurement of components and materials in coordination with logistics
Support the setup and evaluation of lab equipment and process lines
Collaborate with scientists and internal teams to document processes and results
Your background
Degree as Laboratory Technician or University of Applied Science (e.g. as electrical engineer or similar)
Ideally, you bring hands-on experience in semiconductor assembly and interconnection technology
Experience in industrial R&D labs is an advantage
Interest or experience in occupational safety and lab work is highly valued
Independent, open-minded, and communicative personality and a passion for technical challenges in a dynamic research environment
Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)

Practical experience in semiconductor assembly and interconnection technology is desirable
Experience or strong interest in occupational safety and laboratory work is a plus
You work independently, are open, communicative, and enjoy technical challenges
Experience in industrial R&D laboratories is an advantage
Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
