IT specialists at BKW ensure that the IT infrastructure always functions and is up to date with the latest technology. At BKW, you benefit from comprehensive, practical training and become a sought-after IT professional in platform development.

Your tasks

• In platform development, you are responsible for the proper setup and regular maintenance of IT systems.
• You configure and check services such as shares and data backup.
• Furthermore, you are responsible for network security and competently resolve faults. For this, you gradually get to know the devices and applications used at BKW in detail.
• As an apprentice, you start your training with a varied basic year at the Vocational Training Centre Bern (Bbc). Afterwards, you expand and deepen your skills in the company.
• Thanks to various internships, you discover different areas of IT and can participate in projects yourself.

What you bring with you

• You are in the 9th grade (secondary level) or in the 10th school year.
• You are interested in mathematics (good grades) and computers and have good English skills.
• Logical thinking and good combinational skills come easily to you, and you bring the necessary patience and creativity to solve complex tasks.
• You work systematically and have excellent concentration skills.
• You have good spatial and abstract imagination.
• You appreciate a mix of independent work and teamwork.

A aptitude test (e.g. Multicheck) is desirable.

From August 2026, we will start our selection process. We will get back to you from that time.
