The IT department of the University of St.Gallen provides the IT infrastructure, end devices, applications, and cloud services, and supports the employees and students of the university with IT-related questions in connection with teaching, research, and administration.
Your Tasks
- Operation, maintenance, and further development of Windows servers, data center, and cloud infrastructure
- Monitoring of systems, applications, and cloud services including alerting
- Co-responsibility for backup, restore, as well as client and security infrastructures
- Support in vulnerability management and conducting penetration tests
- 2nd-level support as well as project management and collaboration
- Development of security concepts and coordination of infrastructure changes
Your Profile
- Completed training in the field of Windows Server, Linux knowledge is an advantage
- At least three years of experience as a system or security engineer
- Very good knowledge in Microsoft M365 Security, PowerShell scripting, backup (Acronis, Veeam), and monitoring (PRTG)
- Solid network and security knowledge as well as experience in dealing with security incidents
- Very good German and good English skills
- Balanced, team-oriented, service-oriented personality with high independence and flexibility
- Willingness to continue education and openness to new technologies
