Group Leader: Sterile Filling - Night Shift

To manage planned capacity increases, a permanent night shift (Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM) is currently being established, in which you will actively participate in its development and establishment. The start of this night shift will follow a comprehensive training phase of about 12 months in the existing shift model (2-shift operation, Monday to Sunday, 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM).

In this position, you will report directly to the head of the filling line. You will take on the technical and personnel responsibility for a team of several employees. As part of your duties, you will carry out manufacturing processes on a routine facility for filling sterile pharmaceuticals.

You will be responsible for the high-quality, timely, and quantitative implementation of production orders while strictly adhering to all applicable regulations and quality standards.

Your tasks essentially include:

• Leading the night shift, including handing over relevant information to the morning shift
• Technical and personnel management of a team of about 10 employees as well as coordination of daily tasks
• Creating and implementing personnel planning
• Promoting and further developing employees
• Recruiting and training new team members
• Setting clear goals, promoting teamwork, and creating a responsible working environment
• Monitoring the entire filling line in routine production, coordinating with relevant interfaces, and resolving equipment malfunctions

Actively participating in the production process within a production zone and the cleanroom, as well as providing technical support to the team, especially in:

• Operating and monitoring production equipment
• Carrying out format changes
• Conducting material incoming inspections, line clearances, and in-process controls
• Performing general order and cleaning tasks
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all completed work, including in electronic systems
• Adhering to all relevant work regulations, SOPs, and GMP guidelines
• Serving as a role model regarding compliance with all guidelines for good manufacturing practice (GMP), hygiene, safety, and environmental and health protection
• Preparing and supporting internal and external inspections
• Being the technical contact person for your own area of responsibility
• Proactively participating in projects for process optimization

Qualifications & Work Experience:

• Willingness to work permanent night shifts
• Completed vocational training in the pharmaceutical or food technology field or several years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Solid experience in handling complex production equipment, ideally in sterile filling
• Proven experience in technical and personnel management of employees
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style with a high quality awareness in a GMP-regulated environment
• Strong technical understanding
• High social competence, teamwork ability, as well as resilience and reliability
• Very good PC skills
• Fluent German language skills, both spoken and written
