Pharmacy Technician for the Production Unit
The Pharmacy Service is looking for a pharmacy technician at 80% for its Production Unit, starting April 1st or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The CHUV Pharmacy Service is responsible for the manufacturing and supply of pharmaceutical products to the hospital, the rational use of medicines, as well as teaching and research in the field of hospital pharmacy.
Mission
- You perform aseptic magistral preparation operations of injectable medicines (parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, cytotoxics, etc.)
- You coordinate and plan the delivery of magistral preparations
- You carry out pharmaceutical operations for the manufacture of batch preparations, sterile and non-sterile, as well as microbiota preparation
- You perform the necessary sampling according to procedures established by the quality control laboratory and carry out batch quarantine
- You ensure the replenishment of raw material stocks and other equipment
- You participate in writing monitoring protocols and documentation
- You contribute to quality management and participate in the development of new production techniques as well as the development of new formulas
- You participate in the practical training of junior operators as well as assistant pharmacists.
Profile
- You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a pharmacy assistant or training as a pharmacy technician
- You have experience in manufacturing in a hospital, outpatient (community pharmacy), or industrial setting, which is an asset
- You have an interest in medicine manufacturing
- You possess specific knowledge about handling medicines, manufacturing equipment, and drug delivery devices, which is an asset
- You work independently but also as part of a team
- You enjoy rigorous technical work in sterile and non-sterile environments.
