Assistant Lifeguard

To complete its team, the Municipality of Bassins is advertising a position for an Assistant Lifeguard at a 30% activity rate, i.e. 14 hours per week on weekends and to cover for permanent staff, within the Municipal Swimming Pool.

Main duties:

• Welcome the public and swimming schools;
• Diligently and firmly supervise swimmers and other pool users;
• Prevent accidents and provide first aid;
• Ensure compliance with the rules, safety and hygiene instructions in force;
• Carry out maintenance and cleaning of premises, sanitary facilities, changing rooms, pool;
• Manage ticket sales and cash handling;
• Complete the logbook.

Profile sought:

• Holder of the Pro Pool certificate (plus-pool accepted if Pro Pool is obtained within the year);
• Up-to-date BLS-AED certificate with renewals;
• Autonomous with good team spirit;
• Good interpersonal skills, dynamic and versatile;
• At least 18 years old;
• Work according to a pre-established schedule, mainly on weekends.

Position conditions

• Contract: first year on a fixed-term contract before moving to a permanent contract
• Salary: from 20 to 50 years = 29.15.-/h // under 20 or over 50 years 29.77.-/h
• Activity rate: 30% (weekends and replacement of permanent staff)
• Start date: 1 January 2027
