About the job

Industrial SME in Frauenfeld is looking for a Junior or Senior Head of Accounting / Financial Accounting for versatile tasks in our 5 industrial companies in CH and GER.

He Link ad of Accounting - Financial Accounting 60 - 100% (m/f/d)

As a head in the small team of 5 people in Switzerland (HR, IT, Finance) and 6 people in Poland, you are also operationally active and, in addition to your projects, handle overarching questions and tasks of accounting and finance.

You handle accounting matters with customers, suppliers, authorities, banks, etc., work on issues, and train and support the accounting team in Poland.

Our ERP is an in-house development, accounting and finance run on Abacus. Our processes and IT are improvable. For our simple processes, SAP is not required but contemporary applications that also use AI. In this area, we expect your initiative, and you will receive support from IT. Willingness and readiness to learn are more important than skills!

What to expect from us:

You support your team in PL with monthly reporting, cost analyses, collection, dunning, and annual financial statements
Our external tax advisors, financial consultants, customs offices, etc., who know our processes well, provide you with assistance.
For questions, you develop work instructions after clarification
You handle various financial and accounting tasks yourself

What you bring:

Commercial training and further education in finance and accounting, good knowledge of accounting principles
You understand the connections up to the monthly accrued profit and loss statement and balance sheet. You will be trained by us for consolidation.
Good knowledge of common accounting software (currently Abacus) as well as MS Office, Excel
You have little experience in large corporations and are used to tackling a wide variety of issues in the SME sector also with AI
