Operations Manager 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

Our client is looking for an Operations Manager for a unique key position at a recycling plant in the Western Switzerland region (Köniz/Thörishaus or Givisiez/from 2027 Gibloux).

In this role, you are the central link between various departments: you connect production, logistics, administration, purchasing and site management into an efficient whole. Your task is to scrutinise processes, manage daily operations and drive improvements - always with a focus on efficiency, practicality and sustainability. This position is deliberately designed as a springboard: your goal is to gradually grow into a leadership role.

Your tasks:

• You scrutinise production processes and develop them purposefully - focusing on efficiency, quality and sustainability

• You plan and control daily production processes

• You work closely with site management, production, logistics, administration and purchasing

• You take responsibility in cross-departmental projects

• You actively participate in the budgeting process and investment planning

• You ensure compliance with occupational safety, environmental and quality standards

• You accompany audits and coordinate communication with authorities

What do I need to be successful?

What you should bring to be successful in this role:

• A completed technical basic education forms your foundation

• You have already worked in a manufacturing company or in logistics - ideally you are somewhat familiar with the recycling industry

• Experience in contact with customers and suppliers is a plus, but not a must

• You have gained initial leadership experience or are motivated to develop in this direction

• Further training in leadership, process management or quality management is advantageous

• You understand how to manage operational processes and enjoy working with key figures

• You have a talent for organisation - you have a good sense for processes and people

• You are communicative, team-oriented and like to get involved

• Initiative and the desire for personal development drive you

• Very good German and French skills, both spoken and written, are important - ideally you are bilingual
