Head of ERP & Business Solutions m/f/d

As Head of ERP & Business Applications, you will take overall responsibility for our group-wide Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and drive the continuous transformation of our ERP and CRM system landscape. In this key role, you combine strategic leadership with strong stakeholder management. You lead a small expert team, manage external implementation partners, and ensure that our business applications sustainably support growth, efficiency, and innovation throughout the company. You have the opportunity to significantly shape our digital transformation and enterprise architecture.

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for the group-wide Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform (Finance & Operations as well as Customer Engagement), including continuous development, stable operation, efficient release management, and high-quality support services
• Leading the NextGen ERP transformation programme focusing on standardisation, reducing customisations, and establishing sustainable platform governance
• Managing the consolidation of the group-wide ERP and CRM landscape, including migration of legacy systems and integration of newly acquired companies into Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Defining and further developing the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy, system and environment architecture, and roadmap for future platform development
• Central contact for business units regarding requirements for business applications and translating these requirements into prioritised initiatives and release plans
• Managing and governing external implementation partners with a focus on service quality, timely delivery, knowledge transfer, and professional supplier management
• Technical and disciplinary leadership, development, and coaching of the internal ERP team as well as responsibility for budget, resources, and transparent reporting to IT management
• Ensuring compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements, especially in the areas of access management, segregation of duties, and regulatory requirements
• Evaluating and implementing new business application initiatives beyond the Dynamics 365 platform
• Ensuring compliance with audit and governance requirements across the entire application landscape
• Deputising for the Head of IT in the area of ERP & Business Applications

Your profile

• At least eight years of professional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or Dynamics AX) in complex corporate environments, including several years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in leading internal teams and managing external implementation partners within a user organisation
• Solid experience in conducting ERP transformations, stabilising platforms, and reducing custom developments in favour of standard solutions
• Practical experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), especially with Azure DevOps, release management, test management, and governance of system environments
• Good knowledge of ITIL-based processes for change, release, and incident management in business-critical ERP environments
• Experience in requirements engineering, business process analysis, and backlog prioritisation
• Proven expertise in ERP/CRM migration projects and in corporate structures with multiple companies or locations
• Good knowledge in ERP security, role-based access concepts, governance, and compliance; knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 is an advantage
• Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field
• Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or ITIL are advantageous
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
