Administrative Manager of the University Neurorehabilitation Service (SUN)
The University Neurorehabilitation Service (SUN) of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences is seeking an administrative manager at a workload of 80% to 100%, on a permanent contract. The starting date is scheduled for 1 December 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences includes the neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation services, the Leenaards Memory Centre, the Neuroscience Research Centre, and the Spinal Surgery Service. It offers integrated and personalised care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from brain to muscle.
The University Neurorehabilitation Service (SUN) is involved in the treatment of various types of nervous system injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, multiple sclerosis, brain tumours, or encephalitis. It provides highly specialised and interdisciplinary care throughout the patients’ recovery journey, from the hospital phase to outpatient follow-up.
Mission
- You lead and coordinate all activities of the University Neurorehabilitation Service secretariat and ensure the quality and continuity of services
- You supervise and unite the administrative team, support the professional development of staff and promote their autonomy and skills enhancement
- You develop and coordinate collaborations with internal and external partners, ensuring smooth communication and proper follow-up of activities
- You evolve the organisation of the secretariat by identifying improvement opportunities, proposing suitable solutions, and supporting their implementation
- You contribute to the academic activities of the service, notably by handling the secretariat’s operational tasks and participating in the organisation of scientific and institutional events.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee, a federal maturity certificate, or an equivalent qualification, ideally complemented by training in management and administration, a management assistant certificate, or confirmed professional experience in this field
- You have at least 8 years of experience in a similar position, with proven experience in team management and public administration, ideally in an institutional, hospital, or academic environment
- You have excellent command of common office software, an excellent mastery of French, and a good knowledge of English
- Ideally, you have experience in project management, change management, and continuous improvement
- You possess unifying leadership and excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to support a team and manage tense or conflict situations with calm, diplomacy, and professionalism
- You are recognised for your autonomy, organisational skills, analytical and synthesis abilities, as well as your capacity to make decisions and translate needs into concrete actions
- You are patient-oriented, appreciate interprofessional collaboration, and demonstrate listening skills, adaptability, and excellent communication, respecting confidentiality.
