Shape the infrastructure of tomorrow.As Head of Project Development, you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of project development within our Construction division. You ensure that our infrastructure projects are professionally developed, evaluated, and prepared from the initial idea to handover to realisation. Together with internal and external stakeholders, you create the foundation for successful investment and construction projects.
Your area of responsibility
- Leadership, coaching, and further development of the project development team
- Responsibility for the early project phases – from site development through
- feasibility studies to Pre-FEED, FEED, and project definition
- Ensuring sound decision-making bases for investment, site, technology, and approval decisions
- Management of feasibility studies, variant analyses, risk analyses, and project development budgets
- Responsibility for defining project requirements as well as cost, schedule, and risk frameworks before handover to execution
- Coordination of collaboration between Real Estate, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Finance, and Operations
- Establishment of a uniform methodology and governance for project development
- Development and advancement of standards, gate processes, project approvals, and management reporting
- Support of executive management in strategic development and portfolio decisions
Your skills
- Completed studies in civil engineering, architecture, project management, real estate development, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in the development and management of complex infrastructure, industrial, or large-scale construction projects
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams
- Sound knowledge in project development, feasibility studies, investment evaluations, as well as risk and stakeholder management
- Strong entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to present complex contexts clearly
- Structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
