Team Leader in the Permit Area 80 - 100%The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the implementation of Swiss foreigner and asylum law, the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons between Switzerland and the EU/EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.
For the permit area Entry/FZA, we are looking for a team leader 80 - 100% from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.
In this interesting leadership position, you are responsible for the professional and personnel management of a team of seven employees. You handle legally demanding individual cases and, together with your team, ensure services in the permit procedure "Entry and Free Movement of Persons" of the cantonal migration authority. This includes all questions relating to the regulation of the residence rights of foreign nationals.
For this demanding task, you have a university degree in law, leadership experience or comparable skills, and preferably administrative experience. We are looking for an independent, positive and resilient personality with high social competence. Challenging situations are familiar to you and you approach new things openly. You live a constructive and collegial cooperation, communicate authentically and formulate with style. In addition to a pleasant, professional appearance, you have a precise and efficient way of working. Flexibility, commitment, reliability and a touch of humour complete your profile. You also hold Swiss citizenship.
