Physiotherapist (m/f/d) 80-100%

About the job
You know exactly what physiotherapy is really about — not ten minutes on a machine and a sheet of exercises to take away. It’s about Mr M. being able to climb the stairs to the second floor again by himself. About Mrs W. going to the letterbox alone after her hip operation. About someone who no longer thought it possible managing it after all — because you know where to start. That’s exactly why we exist.
This is what your day looks like
- 08:00 You start with your company car. First assignment in Kirchenfeld — client after stroke, gait training and balance. You already know her, know what’s planned for this week.
- 08:15 Staircase instead of therapy room. Three steps, one handrail, no banister on the left side. This is exactly where what really matters in everyday life becomes visible. You observe, correct, instruct the husband for exercises between your visits.
- 09:45 Short drive to Bümpliz, less than 15 minutes. On the way, you call the occupational therapist — shared client, coordination on assistive devices. Rollator or stick? Decision made together, today.
- 10:15 Second assignment. Mobilisation after hip replacement. You look at the route from bed to bathroom, the door thresholds, the entrance — and immediately know how the rehabilitation will look over the next three weeks. You write the report to the health insurance later via app.
- 12:30 Lunch break — you choose where. No canteen table, no briefing in the meeting room.
- 13:30 to 16:30 Three more assignments in Ostermundigen, Muri and Wabern. Fall prevention, respiratory therapy, strength building — all in the real everyday life of the clients. You finish at 17:00.
What you do with us
- Mobile physiotherapy at clients’ homes — apartment, staircase, neighbourhood
- Neurorehabilitation, geriatrics and orthopaedics — after stroke, hip or knee replacement, fall or hospital discharge
- Gait training, balance training and fall prevention as well as manual therapy and respiratory therapy in the real living environment
- Instruct relatives as co-therapists and collaborate interdisciplinarily with occupational therapy, speech therapy and nursing
- Reports for disability insurance, health insurers and referring doctors — digital, on the go
What you bring with you
- Diploma as FH Physiotherapist or equivalent — recognised in Switzerland
- Driving licence category B — you drive daily between your assignments. Company car including private use provided from day 1.
- Experience with adults — neurology, geriatrics, orthopaedics. Focus on paediatrics is a different professional field.
- Independent working — you decide on site, without a boss in the room. The team is reachable by phone, but not present.
- You don’t need your own therapy room — your workplace is the client’s home. That’s method, not compromise.
What we offer:
- 🚗 Company car including private use, fuel card included — also for private trips at weekends.
- 🏠 Home office for administration, reports, documentation and planning — via app, from home.
- ⏱️ No shift work, Monday to Friday — you plan your day yourself, no night shifts.
- 📍 Short distances in your region — your assignments in and around Bern are within a radius of about 15 minutes’ driving time. More time for therapy, less time in the car.
- 🧑 🎓 Further training supported, both in time and financially — neurorehabilitation, manual therapy, assistive device provision.
- 🏝 5 weeks’ holiday, plus health bonus — up to 2 additional days per year.
Why reha at home — and not a clinic or practice?
- You work in real everyday life — not in a therapy room simulating everyday life. Staircase, kitchen, cellar, neighbourhood street. That is your therapy room.
- More time per client than in any clinic. No schedule, no next patient in the waiting room — you can stay where it is currently important.
- True interdisciplinarity — physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and nursing work on the same client. Not side by side, not by file note — but agreed, coordinated, effective.
- We are the only organisation in Switzerland that combines mobile rehabilitation, therapy and nursing in this way. A workplace that exists nowhere else in this form.
Who we are:
reha at home AG is everything — just not ordinary. 💥
As an innovative subsidiary of Knecht Holding AG, we are the only Swiss organisation that directly combines mobile rehabilitation with classic Spitex services. In and around Bern, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses and SRK nursing assistants work hand in hand. This means we bring therapy and nursing to where our clients feel most comfortable — home. 🏡
You are looking for a job in physiotherapy in Bern that is more than a position in a practice or clinic? Then your new role in mobile physiotherapy and rehabilitation is right here.
