About the job
Balancing emergency medicine and family life? In an outpatient emergency practice affiliated with a large hospital group in rural southern Aargau, you work your desired percentage between 50 and 100%, from 8 am to 5 pm, with no night shifts.
A large hospital group in the German-speaking part of Switzerland operates an outpatient satellite location in southern Aargau. This includes a walk-in emergency practice during the day, a general practice, an outpatient clinic, and an ambulance service. There is no inpatient ward at the location; for inpatient treatments, the hospitals of the group are available.
The team is deliberately small: depending on the workload, one or more senior physicians work in the emergency practice. A general practitioner is active on site, and employed medical practice assistants support the team. Through the connection to the hospital group, you are in direct contact with specialists.
The region in the upper part of a rural Aargau valley has around 15,000 inhabitants. Lake Hallwil, hiking and cycling routes up to the highest peak of the canton, and an Alpine panorama are nearby. A direct S-Bahn connection leads to Aarau.

- Triage and initial treatment of walk-in patients
- Ensuring comprehensive internal medicine and emergency medical basic care
- Independent surgical wound care and minor surgical procedures
- Collaboration with specialists from various disciplines within the hospital group

Your benefits:
- Plannable working hours from 8 am to 5 pm without night shifts, probably one weekend shift per month on site
- Part-time workload by arrangement, job sharing possible
- Annual salary depending on experience in the range of around CHF 160,000 to 200,000, plus market and function allowances
- In addition to statutory child allowances, a social allowance from the employer
- Small, manageable team with general practitioner and MPA as well as professional support from the specialists of the hospital group
- Free internal training courses and participation in external further training as needed
- Living in a nature-close, rural region with lake, hills and rail connection to Aarau
