Would you like to help shape a modern IT infrastructure in an exciting environment of research, teaching and clinical practice? As a Senior ICT System Administrator, you will take on a key role in the reliable operation and further development of the IT services of the Vetsuisse Faculty. Together with a dedicated team, you ensure that researchers, lecturers, students and staff can rely daily on powerful and future-oriented IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• You ensure a stable, secure and future-proof operation of our IT infrastructure and continuously develop it further
• You manage and optimise our server, cloud and workplace environments as well as central infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies
• You take on the administration, maintenance and further development of our Windows server landscape including lifecycle, patch and permission management
• You participate in exciting infrastructure and digitisation projects, contribute your own ideas and evaluate new technologies
• You competently advise our institutes and departments on IT matters and support them in 1st and 2nd level support, including in the area of lecture hall service

Profile
You have a solid education in the field of computer science and bring several years of experience in Windows server and system administration or in the operation of modern ICT infrastructures. You are familiar with current Microsoft technologies and are confident in topics such as cloud, virtualisation or automation. You have experience supporting Windows and Apple end devices as well as IT peripherals.
You have very good knowledge and experience in Windows server administration, Active Directory, (DNS, DHCP, GPO) and VMware.
In addition to your professional expertise, you convince with team spirit, independence, curiosity, initiative and a solution-oriented way of working. You enjoy working with different people and understand how to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
