Process Engineer - Production & Data 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

In our highly automated production of plastic components, you combine technical understanding with data competence and continuously develop processes and technologies further. In doing so, you analyse production and process data, apply your technical know-how directly at the equipment, and actively drive projects forward. Your goal is to intelligently bring together technology, data, and practical experience to derive efficient and future-proof production processes. This particularly includes the following activities:

• Evaluation and transfer of new technologies to series maturity as well as expert support in ongoing operations, especially for vision systems, code reading systems, laser systems, and joining technologies for plastic components

• Utilisation of production and process data by building and further developing solutions for linking, analysing, and visualising data

• Management and implementation of technical projects focusing on efficiency improvement, modernisation, and further development of existing processes and equipment

• Development of well-founded decision bases that combine technical, data-based, and economic aspects

• Application of statistical experimental design, technical evaluation of results, and derivation of clear recommendations for action

• Introduction of innovative technologies and solutions into production as well as consistent further development of potentials regarding economy, quality, and safety

• Technical support as an expert in the production environment as well as active knowledge transfer to production and specialist departments

What do I need to be successful?

You have a degree in a technical field (mechanical engineering, plastics technology, or comparable) as well as professional experience in a production environment. In addition, you are characterised by the following points:

• Practical technical understanding and enjoyment in solving complex challenges in production

• High data affinity as well as knowledge in data engineering and data analysis, e.g. SQL, Python, or databases

• Analytical, solution-oriented thinking and the ability to translate process data and technical contexts into concrete improvements

• Knowledge of the mentioned technologies as well as basic know-how in the plastics sector are advantageous

• Independent and structured working style with a view to economy, efficiency, and sustainability

• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
