Deputy Head of Mixing Department 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

Our client is looking for a deputy head of the mixing department. In this role, you relieve and represent the department head in day-to-day business or during absences and have authority within the department. You challenge and support the shift leaders purposefully and bear overall responsibility for the timely processing and correct posting of all production orders in the ERP system. You actively pitch in and flexibly assist at various machines and equipment during bottlenecks or breakdowns. You supervise, lead, and professionally train the apprentice food technologists in the mixing department. You maintain, update, and further develop recipes and production orders in the system. You ensure quality controls, accompany trials, and monitor compliance with food, HACCP, and occupational safety standards.

What do I need to be successful?

• Completed vocational training in the food sector or corresponding several years of professional experience and initial leadership experience

• Resilient, assertive, and flexible personality with willingness to work outside normal working hours

• Technical understanding of machines and equipment as well as enthusiasm for working with modern production technology and digitalisation

• Good PC user skills, quick comprehension, high accuracy, reliability, and assertiveness

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
