This is what you can look forward to.
As a train driver for construction trains in the infrastructure sector, you directly contribute to ensuring that construction and maintenance projects progress safely and that the power supply for trains remains reliable. You work in a well-coordinated team from overhead line, logistics and construction, supporting each other and finding practical solutions. Your daily routine is varied, alternating between driving the locomotive, shunting and assignments on the construction site. You develop further through internal training and continuing education and gradually take on additional responsibilities. You see irregular working hours and shift work as an advantage to enjoy your free time while others are working. Night and weekend work is additionally compensated with us, for example with an hourly wage supplement of 16 francs for Sunday work. For night shifts, you receive time bonuses of 10 to 30%, which gives you more free time. Benefits such as a free GA travelcard, discounted travel abroad – also for the family – can be found on our website under Benefits and more information about the job profile can be found here.
This is what you can achieve.

- In the cab as well as on the construction site, you apply your manual skills and use various work equipment safely and professionally – safety always has the highest priority.
This is what you bring with you.
- You enjoy working both in a team and independently completing tasks. You are reliable and characterised by high flexibility in your daily work.
- Irregular working hours including night and weekend work are part of your daily routine. You are physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.
- You have completed training as a train driver VTE category B100 or category A and have practical experience as a train driver of construction trains.
