Description of the office
The Expropriation Commission decides on all valuation matters not assigned to another authority by the Expropriation Act, as well as on compensation claims for material expropriation. It also exercises the powers assigned by other provisions of cantonal law expressly or by implication – for example, compensation claims of an owner against their neighbour, pursuant to the Spatial Planning and Building Act – to the expropriation judge.
Desired profile
- The Judicial Council is looking for a Vice President with a lawyer's licence, a licentiate or master of law, or experience in the judiciary with knowledge of Fribourg administrative law, especially in the areas of construction and spatial planning (planning). Some availability for meetings and drafting texts is required. This is a part-time position (approx. 10%) performed at irregular intervals.
- Voting rights in cantonal matters. Foreign nationals must hold a residence permit and have lived in the canton for at least five years. No loss certificates may exist against the person. They must not have been criminally convicted of acts incompatible with the judicial office.
- Proficiency in German with very good knowledge of French
