To strengthen our team in the Travel and Home departments, we are looking for a motivated and committed Junior Buyer, 80%, at the Basel Headquarters location from 16.11.2026.
Your responsibilities
- You support the Buyer in developing and implementing the category strategy in line with the company’s financial goals.
- You contribute to building a commercially strong and customer-oriented assortment in the Travel and Home Utility categories and promote profitable sales and market share growth.
- You create assortment overviews, article lists and options/variants analyses.
- You act as a hub between our suppliers, department stores, back office and distribution centres.
- You support order processing and the maintenance of the merchandise management system.
- You prepare supplier meetings and negotiations, including price comparisons, margin analyses and benchmarks.
Your profile
- You have a commercial basic education and ideally further training in marketing or purchasing.
- You bring 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, category management, planning or retail.
- You are IT-savvy and confidently use common MS Office programmes.
- You speak fluent German and French and communicate easily in English.
