Job Description
As an Application Manager IT Services Logistics, you are the link between our logistics at the nine locations and the logistics applications.
- You support the specialist departments at our locations in the implementation, optimization during release management (system update), installation planning, and operation of IT logistics solutions (e.g., WMS, automated storage systems).
- You analyze requirements from operational logistics and create specifications for applications and interfaces.
- You implement specifications in collaboration with IT and external service providers (configuration, testing, rollout of new system requirements) and monitor application operations.
- You take over parameterization, support, testing, documentation, and training for users.
- You assist in process definition, setting and compliance with standards, as well as continuous improvement.
- You are responsible for ongoing communication and coordination with our WMS provider, including incident and change management of ASTRO (primarily in English).
- Occasional travel to our Swiss locations and on-call duty are part of the tasks.
Qualifications
To complement our team as perfectly as possible, you should bring the following qualifications:
- Several years of experience in designing and optimizing logistics IT systems/tools (e.g., ASTRO WMS, Autostore, PiecePicking), project management, and collaboration in interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience in creating requirements/specifications, implementing WMS systems, and working with IT/external partners.
- Solution-oriented, communicative, and proactive working style; customer-oriented demeanor towards internal customers and suppliers.
- Completed education or studies (University/ETH, FH, HF), ideally in computer science, supply chain management, or comparable; or solid training in this field (e.g., process specialist with federal certificate, application developer, or computer scientist EFZ).
- Good analytical skills and a structured, independent working style.
- Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Switzerland and on-call duty.
