Job Description
You equip a building with the components that make a house weatherproof: gutters, downpipes, façade and dormer cladding, chimney flashings, window sills and lightning protection systems.Your work begins with the manufacture of the individual parts in the workshop. There you process sheets, profiles, pipes, plastics and insulating materials. Depending on the assignment, you first visit the construction site to take measurements and make sketches. You transfer the dimensions onto the sheet metal and cut it to size. You bend it into the desired shape and join individual parts by soldering, riveting and welding.
You then assemble the components prepared in the workshop on the construction site. You work outdoors in all weather. Often you perform your work at great heights on scaffolding and roofs. You are aware of the dangers on the construction site and protect yourself and your colleagues by observing safety regulations, taking accident prevention measures and wearing personal protective equipment.
We expect
- Federal VET Diploma as a Polybuilder (EFZ) or several years of professional experience as a façade fitter
- Driving licence category B is an advantage
