Buyer – Public Procurement (100%) – Permanent Position

For one of our clients based in the canton of Geneva, we are looking for a Buyer – Public Procurement for a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee public procurement procedures in compliance with current legislation.
• Prepare, draft and publish calls for tenders.
• Ensure full follow-up of acquisition procedures, from needs analysis to contract award.
• Support various departments in defining their needs and drafting specifications.
• Ensure compliance of procedures with applicable regulations, notably the AIMP and AMP.
• Analyse received bids and participate in their evaluation according to defined criteria.
• Maintain regulatory watch and advise stakeholders on best practices in public procurement.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of purchasing processes and cost optimisation.

Profile

• Higher education in purchasing, public administration, law, economics or an equivalent field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of regulations and best practices in force in the Geneva area, particularly regarding public procurement (AIMP and AMP).
• Proven experience in managing tender procedures.
• Knowledge of construction and building sectors is a valued asset.
• Excellent analytical, writing and negotiation skills.
• Organisational skills, rigour and autonomy.
• Very good interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Proficiency in common IT tools.
