As part of the cooperation project "LUDIC CULTURE HUB: Towards an Interdisciplinary Game Competence Center for Play, Design, Art, Education and Research" funded by the Zurich Digitisation Initiative, a researcher position is to be filled.
The project investigates how digital games and other ludic scenarios can promote historical decision-making among pupils and students. Commercial historical games and specially developed teaching scenarios are examined for their potential to promote context-related thinking, weighing up conflicting goals and counterfactual sensitivity.
- Coordination of cooperation with project partners
- Collaboration on theoretical groundwork
- Co-development and testing of the empirical research design
- Participation in data analysis
- Co-authoring research proposals
- Master’s degree or doctorate in history, history didactics,
game studies, educational sciences or a related discipline - Experience in empirical social research
- Knowledge of history games, history, game studies
- Affinity for interdisciplinary collaboration
- English skills at C1 level
