Do you want to combine strategic procurement with technology, demanding infrastructure projects and a dynamic environment?
As Procurement Manager IT, you take responsibility for strategic procurement in key IT and infrastructure categories. Together with our internal departments and external partners, you develop procurement strategies, manage tenders and negotiations, and ensure the needs-based procurement for our data centre projects.
In doing so, you actively shape our supplier landscape, identify optimisation potentials and make an important contribution to the successful implementation of new build, expansion and modernisation projects.
Your area of responsibility
- Development and implementation of category strategies and objectives for the assigned categories, especially in the area of IT, server, network and connectivity infrastructure
- Identification and realisation of cost, quality, project and bundling potentials together with internal departments
- Management of tender and negotiation processes for data centre new builds, customer expansions and modernisation projects
- Conducting price and contract negotiations as well as participating in the design of framework and individual contracts
- Ensuring needs-based and timely procurement of materials and services
- Active contract management and monitoring of agreed services and quality standards
- Conducting market and portfolio analyses to identify optimisation potentials, critical categories and possible supply risks
- Development of appropriate measures to ensure supply and minimise procurement risks
- Selection of suitable suppliers together with internal specialists as well as continuous development of the supplier portfolio
- Conducting regular supplier evaluations and further development of supplier management
- Professional collaboration with internal departments and external partners
Your skills
- Completed technical, IT-related or commercial training, ideally supplemented by further training in supply chain management and/or procurement
- At least three years of professional experience in strategic procurement, preferably in the environment of IT, network or data centre solutions
- Experience in a project-oriented and technically demanding environment
Strategic thinking and ability to recognise optimisation potentials and develop suitable solutions - Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness and confident handling of different stakeholders
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Confident handling of a dynamic technology and project environment
- Fluent German skills and very good English skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally, about 10%
The position combines strategic procurement, technology and critical digital infrastructure and offers the opportunity to actively shape demanding data centre projects.
The scope of tasks ranges from category strategies and supplier development to contract negotiations and project-related procurement. There is close collaboration with various departments and external partners.
