A Community Health and Care Assistant
(New Position)
MISSION:
The CHCA provides, under medical and/or nursing delegation, and exclusively for nursing care situations whose evolution is predictable and non-complex, personalised care adapted to the needs and life project of the residents.
To do this, they must identify the needs of the residents, their degree of dependence and their disabilities in performing daily living activities, respecting the personality and values of the resident, then establish a data collection according to the care conceptual framework adopted by MRPS and participate in defining and implementing the resident’s life project. Furthermore, they will be responsible for periodically reassessing the evolution of the care situation and the nursing actions undertaken and keeping the doctor and/or qualified nurse informed of any changes in the resident’s health status.
They are also responsible for discussing with the resident and/or their relatives to promote the realisation of the community life project and supervising the activities of nursing assistants under the delegation of the nurse responsible for the care units or the qualified nurse.
PROFILE SOUGHT:
- CHCA diploma.
- Experience in geriatrics or psychogeriatrics would be an asset.
- Interpersonal skills, respect, empathy and flexibility.
- Ability to work interdisciplinarily.
- Proficiency in common office software tools.
