Job Description

In this responsible position, you are in charge of preparing trains for formation on the departure tracks, including brake checks. Your duties include coupling and uncoupling locomotives and freight wagons. You prepare arriving trains according to the long maker list and received instructions and break down trains using the coupling rod according to the breakdown list. Additionally, you conduct the shunting brake test and adhere to FDV processes. An important part of your work is to identify and report irregularities, disruptions, and deviations to ensure smooth operations.

We Expect

You bring a willingness for physical work in the track field in all weather conditions. Being easily startled is not advantageous, as high attention is required amid noise and rolling material. A responsible working style and good reaction ability are essential for this position. Teamwork and clear communication are also important to work successfully in a team. You should be prepared to accept irregular working hours, including shift work. A good understanding of safety-relevant processes (FDV) is also required.
