About the job
This is what you can achieve
In your role, you work directly on military jets and primarily take on the following tasks:
- Maintenance and modification work: Carrying out planned maintenance intervals including replacement & testing of avionics and electrical systems (instruments, electronics, radio and avionics)
- Repairs & troubleshooting: Analysing error messages, fault-finding processes including rectification of defects
- Change and control orders: Visual and functional checks after each flight (aircraft and system condition)
- Work documentation and quality management
- Participation in internal avionics training and courses in the areas of safety, quality as well as maintenance / flightline support
This is what you bring with you
- Technical / electrical vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma (e.g. automation technician, electronics technician, diagnostic technician or similar field)
- Experience in aviation and/or vehicle electrics is helpful but not mandatory
- Strong technical skills
- Conversational English skills (level B1/B2) desired (for Payerne additionally French skills)
- Driving licence category B
- High commitment and flexibility (for possible shift & on-call work)
- Resilient personality with team player qualities, strong sense of responsibility / safety awareness and precise and reliable working method
- Swiss citizenship (required due to the nature of the role)
