Have you ever wondered how the water quality of your favourite bathing lake is determined or whether our drinking water is free from pollutants? In your training as a Laboratory Technician EFZ Chemistry, you will find out!
What you will learn with us
You collect and examine environmental samples of waters in the Canton of Zurich in the laboratory. Using the latest technology, you identify substances and pollutants and carry out specialised analyses – for example, for pesticides and other micro-contaminants. During your training, you will get to know the waters (rivers, lakes, and more) and the Canton of Zurich from a new perspective.
What distinguishes you
You are currently attending secondary school level A and your favourite subjects include mathematics and chemistry/biology. You like trying new things, enjoy new technologies, and work precisely and with concentration? The Building Department supports you if you want to complete your apprenticeship with a vocational baccalaureate.
