About the job
The city police, with over 250 employees, is committed to a safe and trustworthy Winterthur. To complement our investigation team, we are looking for a motivated police officer starting 01.06.2026 or by agreement. - Leading the investigation service in professional, personnel, organizational, tactical, and material aspects.
- Handling criminal police hotspots with necessary investigations, surveillance, and measures, especially in the area of urban crime (drug crime, property offenses, immigration matters, etc.).
- Setting goals and measures for the service (in consultation with the head of the Investigations & Prevention department), implementing them, and monitoring goal achievement.
- Responsible for the detailed process of crime prevention in the assigned investigation area.
- Coordinating, planning, and leading surveillance operations in public order service and other major events/occasions.
Your Profile
- Completed training as a police officer (federal diploma/certificate) with several years of work and ideally leadership experience in the police environment, preferably in the area of investigation/enforcement.
- Willingness to participate in further training and courses to ensure high professional competence.
- Initiative and independent personality with high professional and social competence.
- Situationally adapted, collegial leadership style, strong team skills.
- Willingness to work evening shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
