The Saxerriet Correctional Facility is an open penal institution for men with a total of 135 places. It has differentiated enforcement concepts and a diverse range of workplaces.

Foreman/Forewoman Maintenance Centre, Focus on Building Maintenance and Laundry Logistics (m/f/d)

from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement

Workload: 100%

Workplace: 9465 Salez

What to expect

• You will practically guide the assigned persons in the areas of internal building cleaning (property maintenance) and laundry, promoting their professional and personal development
• Together with your team, you ensure the value-preserving, clean condition of the institution's internal buildings as well as timely and high-quality textile care
• In the absence of the caretaker, you will act as their deputy. You monitor the building services systems, carry out minor repairs and maintenance work independently, and ensure the operational readiness of the infrastructure
• You use the daily workflows in housekeeping as a learning field to strengthen the independence, responsibility, and reliability of the assigned persons with regard to their reintegration
• You plan and structure the workflows in cleaning and laundry efficiently

What distinguishes you

• You have completed a vocational, technical, or domestic training (EFZ)
• Good technical knowledge in building services and maintenance as well as manual skills for repair and maintenance work
• You possess a high level of social competence, assertiveness, and empathy
• You engage with people on an equal footing and bring the necessary sensitivity for work in penal enforcement
• You keep an overview even in lively situations
• Experience working with people in special life situations is an advantage
• You are a team-oriented and committed personality with a strong service awareness
