Production Planner
Production Planner
Purpose of the Role
As a Production Planner, you are responsible for work preparation, production planning, and the maintenance of production-relevant master data. In this key role, you ensure efficient production processes, support industrialisation projects, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Creation, maintenance and continuous optimisation of work plans, bills of materials (BOMs) and workflows
- Preparation, planning and release of production orders taking into account available production capacities
- Maintenance and assurance of the quality of production-relevant master data in the ERP system (ERP BPS)
- Creation and management of basic data such as work plans, routings and manufacturing documentation
- Conducting time studies and maintaining standard times for production processes
- Support of New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation projects
- Analysis of production problems and development and implementation of appropriate solutions
- Close collaboration with Engineering, Production and Operations to ensure manufacturable product implementation
- Preparation and processing of quotations from the perspective of production feasibility
- Creation and maintenance of work instructions, setup sheets and process standards
- Participation in Lean, CIP and process optimisation projects
- Monitoring of relevant production key performance indicators (KPIs) and identification of improvement potentials
Qualifications
- Fluent German skills and good English skills
- Preferably completed technical training or comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in production planning, work preparation, manufacturing engineering or a comparable industrial environment
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience in managing bills of materials, work plans, routings and production master data
- Ability to plan and release production orders considering capacities and resources
- Technical understanding and ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of production KPIs, time studies, capacity planning and process optimisation
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge is an advantage; Six Sigma Yellow Belt or comparable experience in continuous improvement is desirable
