The Position For our Established Pharmaceuticals Business (EPD) based in Basel, Switzerland, we are seeking a highly motivated candidate for an Internship Marketing (m/f/d). This 6-12 Month assignment offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global marketing, strategic portfolio management, business development, and alliance management within one of Abbott's key growth areas. The assignment combines strategic marketing responsibilities with a dedicated 20-30% project focused on shaping Abbott EPD’s next wave of biosimilars and portfolio expansion opportunities. Working closely with senior leadership, you will contribute to high-impact initiatives that influence global portfolio and partnership decisions while building a strong foundation for future leadership opportunities. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support strategic marketing and portfolio initiatives aimed at driving sustainable growth across international markets. </li></ul><ul><li>Lead a dedicated strategic project representing approximately 20-30% of the assignment, focused on evaluating and shaping future biosimilars and portfolio expansion opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Partner with the Biosimilars and Portfolio Expansion leadership team to evaluate opportunities to expand strategic partnerships into new geographies, products, and indications. </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct portfolio reviews, competitive assessments, and market prioritization analyses to identify growth opportunities across geographies, products, and therapeutic areas. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop strategic recommendations and present findings to senior leadership to support portfolio and business development decisions. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate the development of global business cases and financial models, aligning key assumptions with regional and country leadership teams. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in due diligence activities related to potential partnerships, licensing opportunities, and strategic collaborations. </li></ul><ul><li>Work directly with the Global Head of Biosimilars and Portfolio Expansion and Alliance Management leadership team on high-priority strategic initiatives. </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare executive presentations, leadership briefings, governance updates, and Board-level materials. </li></ul><ul><li>Support alliance management activities, including governance coordination, KPI tracking, stakeholder engagement, and value creation initiatives. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage interactions with strategic partners and support governance discussions impacting global partnerships. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. </li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to the development of best practices, governance frameworks, operating models, and organizational capability-building initiatives within Alliance Management and Portfolio Expansion. </li></ul> Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a leading MBA program or a Master's degree program. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong interest in strategic marketing, business development, portfolio management, alliance management, and the pharmaceutical industry. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience developing business cases, financial models, market analyses, or strategic assessments. </li></ul><ul><li>Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to work successfully in cross-functional and international environments. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong project management skills with a proactive, results-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across organizational levels. </li></ul><ul><li>Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken. </li></ul> Why Join Abbott?
