Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Senior Engineer Building Automation for the engineering of technically demanding building automation systems in industrial and high-tech projects. You will be responsible for the technical handling from the concept and planning phase through detailed engineering to commissioning and qualification. The focus is on the development of automation and functional concepts as well as the coordination of complex interfaces between HVACSE, electrical, IT/OT and process automation. The position combines sound automation engineering with system integration, quality assurance, and the professional support of other engineers.
Responsibilities:
Independent engineering of building automation systems (BA) from the concept phase to detailed engineering
Development of automation, control and functional concepts as a technical basis for suppliers and system integrators
Creation and review of functional descriptions, automation schematics, system architectures and BA specifications
Definition and coordination of data points, communication interfaces and system integrations
Technical coordination of interfaces to HVACSE, electrical, IT/OT and process systems
Assessment and quality assurance of engineering documents from external suppliers and system integrators
Technical handling of PLC, SCADA and control system solutions as well as communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX and OPC
Creation and review of test, commissioning and acceptance documentation
Support and execution of commissioning, functional tests and system acceptance
Participation in qualification and validation activities in regulated or GMP-relevant project environments
Ensuring implementation according to SIA, SWKI and VKF requirements as well as relevant EN/ISO standards
Professional support and technical guidance of junior engineers in the field of building automation
Qualifications:
Degree as FH/ETH engineer or HF technician in building automation, automation, electrical engineering, information technology or a comparable field
Several years of experience in engineering building automation systems, preferably in industrial or high-tech projects
Sound understanding of PLC, SCADA, network technology and system architectures
Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, KNX and/or OPC as well as a strong understanding of cross-system interfaces
Experience in the GMP environment as well as with qualification and validation is an advantage
Knowledge of relevant SIA, SWKI, VKF and EN/ISO standards
Very good German and English skills as well as willingness to travel for projects within Switzerland
