These are your tasks
- Assuming the deputy role of the restaurant management and actively participating in leadership tasks
- Warm and professional care of guests in the restaurant, café and kiosk
- Co-responsibility for a smooth operation in daily business as well as at events and seminars
- Confident use of the cash register system (TCPos) and the menu selection system in daily work
- Responsibly ensuring correct internal and external billing according to guidelines
This is what distinguishes you
- Completed training in the gastronomy sector (e.g. department manager with EFZ or hotel management school) as well as solid service experience
- First leadership experience or motivated to take the next career step with assumption of responsibility
- Strong host understanding with high service orientation, attentiveness and joy in dealing with elderly people
- Structured and independent working style as well as confident prioritisation – even in hectic situations
- Confident use of digital tools as well as good PC user skills for administrative tasks

Burgerspittel is the senior citizens' institution of the Burgergemeinde Bern. In a refined ambience, we offer care and support as well as numerous hospitality services for around 190 elderly residents. We cultivate a warm welcome culture and treat employees and residents openly and appreciatively.
The Burgergemeinde Bern is a personal community according to the Bernese cantonal constitution and commits itself according to its means to the common good. It promotes and works for the welfare of people in the areas of culture, nature, social affairs and science. It finances this work for the benefit of the public from its asset income and employs around 800 staff.
