Cyber Security Engineer, Bank Frick AG

Avalect GmbH is exclusively seeking for Bank Frick AG an individual who understands cybersecurity, thinks about it, and actively helps shape modern security solutions. You have knowledge of modern cybersecurity technologies and security solutions such as EDR, XDR, DLP, and experience in network security and firewall technologies. Your tasks:

• Administration and operation of network security solutions, especially firewall and Web Application Firewall (WAF), as well as collaboration in their further development
• Implementation, administration, and hardening of central security solutions, especially Microsoft Purview (DLP), Defender, and Microsoft 365 components
• Collaboration in vulnerability management, vulnerability analyses, and penetration tests as well as in tracking and implementing appropriate mitigation measures
• Participation in the ongoing development of security services
• Collaboration on varied security projects with the opportunity to continuously expand your expertise and gradually take on additional responsibility
• Cooperation with IT Operations, System Engineering, and Risk Management to ensure a holistic security approach
• Assistance in defining and implementing technical security controls and hardening policies

Your profile:

• Completed training in computer science and/or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on IT security
• Initial professional experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure as well as knowledge in network security, firewalls, or web application security
• First practical experience in Microsoft security technologies such as Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune, Purview, or comparable DLP, XDR, IAM, or cloud security solutions from other providers
• Enthusiasm and initiative to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics and actively contribute to the success of projects
• Advantageous: initial exposure to regulatory requirements and frameworks such as ISO 27001, DORA, or the EBA guidelines
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style as well as enjoyment in investigating problems and jointly deriving appropriate measures
• Very good German and English skills (level C1/C2)
