The Road Traffic and Shipping Office of the Canton of Glarus is a modern, state-run service company that contributes with its diverse activities to safety as well as to compliant and environmentally friendly traffic on roads and waterways.
We are looking for a
Dispatcher at the Road Traffic Office 100%
from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, based in Schwanden.
Tasks
- Responsibility for the scheduling of all vehicle and ship inspections including driver examinations
- Support with special permits for exceptional transports
- Customer service by phone and at the counter
- Deputising for the Head of Traffic Licensing and supporting the Department Head
- Handling various administrative and organisational tasks in the area of traffic and ship licensing
- Participation in projects
Requirements
- Completed technical training (automotive sector) with commercial further education
- Interest in legal issues (road traffic law / traffic licensing)
- Good MS Office user skills
- Enjoyment of customer contact
- Independent, precise and efficient working style
- Communication skills, foreign language knowledge is an advantage
- Teamwork, resilience and reliability
