University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Environment FHNW, Institute for Product and Production Engineering
The University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Environment stands for practice-oriented teaching, application-focused research and close collaboration with industry. At the Institute for Product and Production Engineering (IPPE) we are filling a professorship with a focus on circular and sustainable product development – a key topic for the future of industry.
Your tasks:
You actively shape the education of the next generation of engineers and drive innovative research projects forward.:
- Teaching activities in the areas of CAD, design, eco-design and circular product development in the bachelor programmes of systems engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering
- Acquisition, management and implementation of research and development projects in your own focus area
- Supervision and support of students in project work as well as management of bachelor and master theses
Your profile:
You combine solid expertise with enthusiasm for teaching and innovation:
- Completed university degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the acquisition, management and implementation of development projects, ideally in the field of circular and resource-efficient product development
- Confident handling of modern CAD systems
- Enjoyment in knowledge transfer and commitment to teaching
- Very good networking with industry partners
- Convincing appearance as well as pronounced communication skills in dealing with partners and customers
- Entrepreneurial thinking and business management understanding
- Higher education didactic qualification or willingness to acquire this within the first years
