About the job
We offer a position as a Social Pedagogue (60–80 %) from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement for the care and support of adults on the autism spectrum with intensive support needs.
Five residents, ranging from very young to middle adulthood, manage their daily lives with very intense challenges that come with living with pronounced autism and additional cognitive impairment. You will offer them the chance to build trust in themselves and their environment and to discover their self-efficacy in a fulfilling way.
Together with two other colleagues per day, you will accompany them – from support with self-care, through kitchen and household tasks to work in the garden and workshop. You will work a lot in individually accompanied, methodically structured situations in this group. The TEACCH approach forms the methodological orientation. We are currently exploring the possibilities of forest projects together. The team shares the team leadership responsibility as a self-managing team.
With five other shared flats, your group forms a small neighbourhood settlement on the edge of the village of Mettleneggen near 3665 Wattenwil.
We offer:
- An exciting and varied job with many opportunities for co-creation
- Exciting moments of support and various retreat options for breaks, so you can recharge your energy even in stressful moments
- Great, humorous and committed team colleagues
- Careful induction
- Coordinated times for intensive individual support of the residents
- Internal training with a focus on ASD
- Free parking spaces
- Salary and social benefits according to cantonal guidelines
- Work in a committed, qualified and mindful team
- Monthly team retreats with internal professional advice
- Full (undivided) day shifts without night watch/on-call duty
We expect:
- Training as a social pedagogue or equivalent qualification
- Enjoyment of open and constructive collaboration
- Willingness for specific pedagogical engagement
- Knowledge in kitchen, household and environmental work
- Willingness for irregular working hours including evening and weekend shifts
- Driving licence, category B desired
