We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate - in vivo Hematology to join our Non-Malignant Hematology group. As part of a larger team, you will design and execute in vivo experiments to evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic candidates for bleeding disorders such as hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively design and execute in vivo studies, and interpret data from in vivo experiments to assess the pharmacodynamics and therapeutic efficacy of novel therapies
- Establish, validate and use disease relevant mouse models of hemostasis and thrombosis, supported by in vitro analysis
- Concisely present experimental data to the group during regular team meetings
- Continuously improve test systems, treatment, analysis, and data evaluation. Contribute to work process optimization including data capture, storage and assay automation
- Work closely with all members of the group, share duties, maintain a clean work environment and actively contribute to the positive work atmosphere within the group
Your Profile:
- BSc/MSc in Life Sciences (e.g., Cell/Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology), or a completed apprenticeship as a research associate with at least three years of academic or industry experience working with in vivo models
- Mouse work experience; managing transgenic animals, injections, tissue sampling and processing, characterization of disease models, experience in terminal and survival surgeries
- Experience in applying in vitro analytical technologies such as ELISAs and biochemical assays for data analysis and result evaluations
- Effective communication in English, both in writing and orally. Skillfully able to interact with people and have strong commitment to teamwork
- Excellent data management and record-keeping skills
