About the job
The parish of St. Leodegar im Hof with around 4,600 Catholics has a diverse parish life with lively residential neighborhoods and clubs. It is the oldest parish in Lucerne. Its historic Hof Church in the heart of the city is both a parish and collegiate church. The parish offers excellent music programs, is a place for retreat, prayer, and communal celebration, and is a tourist attraction.We are looking for a

Community Leader
starting summer 2026 or by arrangement.
With your spiritual, inclusive, and social personality, you shape the parish. You lead a participative team of 30 dedicated employees and continue the constructive collaboration with the collegiate chapter. You appreciate and support the approximately 270 volunteers who are engaged in the parish.
You carefully design people-centered liturgies, are communicative, culturally versatile, and open to new things. You attentively and empathetically take care of pastoral care. You are rooted in the Christian tradition and open to contemporary and life-related expressions of faith. You foster ecumenical cooperation.
You are integrated into the large pastoral area of the city of Lucerne. As a team player, you contribute to the content of the pastoral area and work on its further development. You are open to change. The consensual and cooperative collaboration within the church's dual structure is a matter of course for you.
We expect:
• Completed theological studies with professional induction by the Diocese of Basel (or equivalent training)
• Pastoral professional experience in parish ministry, ecumenical and interreligious openness, as well as credible and life-related spirituality
• Creativity, curiosity, and willingness to try new things
• Leadership experience, organizational talent
• Strong communication skills, hospitality qualities, openness towards people and cultures
