VF Corporation is looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join our Global Sustainability team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Sustainability-focused regulatory requirements are quickly evolving, including but not limited to Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Product Environmental Footprint (PEF), and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging and textiles. To ensure compliance, businesses need to understand the evolving obligations in depth and act proactively and have the relevant data available for disclosure.
The Sustainability Specialist will focus on data for required VF regulatory requirements, associated audits and assurance assessments. This includes contributions to the set-up of an end-to-end data governance processes, with an intial focus on:
- Global Packaging & Textile EPR schemes. Collect and report data, engage with consultants, prepare and submit data for audits, and support the data integration process into the 3rd party EPR data disclosure and reporting platform.
- Ban of Destruction of Unsold Goods. Assess and aggregate data provided by the Distribution Center Team, and coordinate the disclosure on VF’s public website.
- French Eco-Score / Product Environmental Footprint (PEF). Support in collecting and elaborating data required for product footprint analysis.
- Scope 3 data collection. Support in collecting and elaborating data required for scope 3 inventory calculation.
- Direct operations. Support in data analytics and implementation of strategic projects for direct operations compliance and the reduction of Scope 1 and 2 emissions, such as energy audits and company car fleet decarbonization roadmaps.
We expect that you will deliver exceptional results while fulfilling the following aspects of the Sustainability Analyst role:
- Support the data analytics process of the global VF EPR governance process set-up for packaging & textiles.
- Support on-time EPR reporting and payment obligations, ensuring audit readiness.
- Contribute to future VF preparedness for Sustainability compliance in context of EU Circular Package files and developed Textile category rules.
- Conduct end-to-end audits bases on identified key risk areas & consult local VF entities on risk management.
- Ensure VF compliance to established & relevant audit standards.
- Provide guidance to the enhancement of internal data collection processes and tracking systems.
- Continuously monitor the evolving landscape of sustainability-focused regulatory requirements globally.
- Define action roadmap based on risks identified. Manage and implement business processes within sustainability framework. Support integration into business processes.
- Liase with consultants and data management platforms to ensure timely disclosures and auditable data flows.
Critical work relationships:
- Work horizontally across internal functions, incl. but not exclusive to Global Sustainability, Legal, Finance, Government Affairs, local VF Sales Offices, Supply Chain, Indirect Procurement, Product Stewardship, Traceability, PLM teams as well as external stakeholders to meet identified requirements and other regulatory requirements as they evolve.
- Work closely with external consultants, the 3rd party EPR reporting and disclosure platform, and team members across the globe supporting EPR reporting in other regions.
- Work closely with Corporate & Government Affairs and Legal Counsel to continuously integrate regulatory developments into the VF operational process.

- Has deep expertise in data collection and analytics, process management, assurance engagement and risk advisory.
- Is a strong communicator and enjoys working with people.
- Has a keen interest in Sustainability, Climate Change, waste minimization, emerging regulatory compliance, and the complex, interrelated environmental challenges faced by our industry and beyond.
