Team Lead Design Engineering (m/f/d)

Job Description

• Responsibility for planning and implementing design assignments
• Leading and developing the six-member team at two locations
• Continuous improvement of the design process and support in cross-departmental process optimisations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination with other technical departments, project management, product compliance, sales and after-sales service
• Planning and controlling the assigned cost centre

We expect

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering (university, university of applied sciences or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in leading a cross-location team
• Practical experience in managing design projects
• Solid knowledge of 3D-CAD (ideally SolidWorks) as well as PLM/ERP systems (ideally SAP)
• Practical experience in special machine construction, large parts/welded structures and with relevant standards/guidelines is an advantage
• High sense of responsibility and a structured way of working
• Communicative personality with process understanding
• Fluent English skills (B2 - C1)
• Willingness to travel (~10%)
