Presentation
The mission of the Genomic Technologies Facility (GTF) is to provide users with shared access to state-of-the-art genomics technologies, as well as advanced support for experimental design, project execution, and data analysis.
The team consists of around ten scientists working across both laboratory and data analysis activities. These activities include the production of genomic data using established protocols, as well as the development—design and optimization - of new methodological approaches.
In this context, the Laboratory Manager will support users in the design and execution of genomics projects by providing scientific and technical expertise tailored to their research needs. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day follow-up of laboratory activities, coordinate the resources required for service delivery, and help ensure the smooth execution of platform operations. They will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the facility's services, processes, and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the scientific community.

Your responsibilities
- Advise users on the design, planning, and execution of genomics projects.
- Evaluate experimental requirements and recommend the most appropriate methodological and technological approaches.
- Oversee the delivery of platform services and coordinate the laboratory activities required for their execution.
- Ensure the proper operation and follow-up of laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
- Serve as a point of contact for users regarding project progress and technical aspects of the services provided.
- Contribute to maintaining the platform's quality, and traceability standards.
- Support the management of laboratory resources, including equipment, consumables, and maintenance activities.
- Identify and implement improvements to laboratory procedures, services, and organization.
Your qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience in high-throughput sequencing and genomics technologies, acquired within a genomics core facility, service platform, or a comparable environment.
- Recognized expertise in genomics technologies, with extensive practical experience operating and supporting short-read and long-read sequencing platforms in a research or core facility environment.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, quality management principles, and operational requirements associated with a high-throughput genomics facility.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a strong service-oriented mindset and the ability to interact effectively with researchers from diverse scientific backgrounds.
- Master's degree or PhD in Life Sciences or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of advanced training and relevant experience, together with substantial experience in genomics technologies and platform operations.
