In this role, you ensure the reliable availability and safety of modern rail technology systems through targeted maintenance and repair work. You support the assembly of mechanical components on electrotechnical systems, accompany technical projects directly on construction sites and actively contribute to smooth railway operations. With your practical approach and sense of responsibility, you make an important contribution to operational safety and system reliability.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out maintenance, inspection and repair work on rail technology systems
Ensuring high system availability through preventive and corrective measures
Assembly and installation of mechanical components on electrotechnical systems and equipment
Support with installations and technical implementations within the scope of construction and project work
Accompanying construction sites as a technical specialist and supporting project teams on site
Conducting fault analyses and assisting with troubleshooting
Participation in the on-call service to ensure rapid response to system issues
Willingness to work outside regular hours
Compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in the railway environment
Collaboration with internal departments and external partners
Qualifications:
Completed training as a mechanic, polymechanic, plant and apparatus builder or comparable technical qualification
Practical experience in maintenance, assembly or plant maintenance is an advantage
Interest and willingness to familiarise yourself with new technical topics
Manual dexterity and enjoyment of practical work in a technical environment
Physical resilience and willingness to work outdoors
High safety awareness, reliability and careful working style
Team-oriented personality with strong commitment
Driving licence category B
Willingness to work irregular hours and on-call shifts
Fluent German skills
