The university institute for Diagnostic, Interventional and Paediatric Radiology is part of one of the largest university centres in Switzerland. Cardiac imaging is jointly managed with cardiology in an established Cardiac Imaging team and is closely integrated into the thoraco-cardiovascular focus.
The centre offers an exceptionally high volume of examinations in cardiovascular imaging. Approximately 6,000 cardiovascular CT examinations are performed annually on the photon-counting CT, as well as around 2,500 cardiac MRI examinations.
The position is particularly suitable for radiology specialists with an interest in cardiac imaging who already have some experience or who wish to specialise specifically in this area after obtaining their specialist title.
Your tasks:
- Gradual specialisation in cardiac CT and MRI diagnostics within an interdisciplinary university Cardiac Imaging team
- Reporting cardiovascular CT and MRI examinations with increasing responsibility
- Participation in the diagnosis of coronary, structural, inflammatory and thoraco-cardiovascular issues
- Preparation and assessment of complex cardiac CT and cardiac MRI examinations, including pre-interventional evaluations, cardiomyopathies, myocarditis and ischaemia issues
- Close collaboration with cardiology and other involved specialties within clinical patient care
- Participation in interdisciplinary case discussions, report discussions and patient-related decision-making processes
- Involvement in university teaching, further training and scientific projects according to interest and experience
- Support in the training of assistant doctors in the field of radiological diagnostics
- Prospective integration into general radiological service operations after appropriate induction
Your competencies:
- Specialist title in radiology, German or EU recognised; support with recognition (MEBEKO) in Switzerland through Medimeo
- Initial experience in CT and MRI diagnostics as well as interest in cardiovascular imaging
- Motivation to specifically develop further in cardiac CT and cardiac MRI
- Enjoyment of clinically oriented radiology with close connection to cardiology
- Interest in university work, research, teaching and structured professional development
- Willingness to engage with complex cardiac and thoraco-cardiovascular issues
- Independent, careful and patient-oriented working style
- Team-oriented personality with enjoyment of interdisciplinary exchange
- Good to very good German skills; English skills advantageous
