About the Position
In this versatile key role, you bridge the gap between pioneering technology and successful project management. You accompany demanding new product developments from the initial customer inquiry through feasibility analysis to series maturity. With your deep understanding of optomechanical and mechatronic systems and your organisational skills, you ensure the timely, cost-effective, and specification-compliant implementation of highly precise industrial projects.
Your Tasks
Project Management & Execution: Successful leadership and coordination of internal as well as customer-specific (sub-)projects, including independent handling of arising project planning tasks.
Systems Engineering: Technical support in systems engineering for innovative new product developments – both in built-to-print and built-to-spec areas.
Interface Management & Costing: Technical processing of sales inquiries, calculation of manufacturing costs, as well as binding scheduling and feasibility clarifications in close cooperation with production and the supply chain.
Specification Alignment: Continuous coordination and validation of technical specifications between sales/customers, internal production, and external suppliers.
Feasibility Studies & Lifecycle Support: Conducting thorough feasibility studies as well as technical product support (no operational day-to-day business) including responsibility for engineering change management (ECO).
Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Technical support for complex quality issues, conducting systematic fault analyses, and professional support for manufacturing engineering, work preparation, assembly, and production metrology.
Your Profile
Education: Completed university degree (Diploma/Master) in an engineering or natural sciences field (e.g. Physics, Applied Optics, Photonics, Precision Engineering, Systems Engineering or a comparable qualification).
Project Management: At least 3 years of solid experience in project management, preferably in an industrial high-tech environment, ideally supported by a completed IPMA Level D or C certification.
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of technical optics as well as the design of optomechanical and mechatronic systems combined with a pronounced, holistic system understanding.
Personality: An independent, analytical thinker with a consistent customer-oriented approach, strong organisational skills, assertiveness, and pronounced team spirit.
Languages: Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, for smooth communication with international partners.
What Our Client Offers
Technology Leadership: An absolutely future-oriented working environment at the forefront of the modern optical industry.
Responsibility: A versatile and highly autonomous area of responsibility in which you actively shape the entire product lifecycle.
Culture: A highly professional, interdisciplinary team with flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, and an open communication culture.
Development: Attractive prospects for personal, professional, and methodological development.
