Forest Worker Apprenticeship (CFC)

- Protecting and sustainably managing the canton’s natural areas is the mission of the SFFN.
During your apprenticeship, you will join a team active in monitoring and maintaining the forests of Neuchâtel. A practical job that helps preserve our environment for today and tomorrow.
In the field, you will take part in all the work involved in managing public forests. Wood cutting, caring for young forests, planting, or maintaining forest paths will shape your daily routine.
You will also learn to build shelters and protective structures against damage caused by animals, plants, or climate.
Beyond these tasks, you will help to enhance the value of timber, diversify tree species, and develop the habitat for wildlife and flora.
You have completed your compulsory schooling and are passionate about nature. Skilled with your hands, you enjoy teamwork and have good physical endurance.
