A cantonal public law institution, the CNP is tasked with leading the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with partner institutions. The CNP aims to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental disorders through the adoption of an integrated and community psychiatry model; it implements public policies for the promotion and prevention of mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of professional training and research in psychiatry.
The Department of Advanced Age is seeking, for its Outpatient Unit, a:
Deputy Senior Consultant in Psychogeriatrics - 80-100% s/ref: R2026011
You hold a Swiss diploma or one recognised by MEBEKO. You have obtained the first part of the FMH title and wish to join a recognised institution specialised in mental health? We welcome your application with pleasure and will treat it with complete confidentiality.
Within the scope of your role:
o You participate in the development and implementation of the directives and programmes necessary to achieve the department's objectives.
o You ensure the smooth running of clinical activities in a spirit of multidisciplinary collaboration and within a mobile team.
o You provide expertise and assistance to primary care medicine, home care teams or nursing homes, as well as in collaboration with somatic care.
o You are able to provide specialised care and appropriate support outside the psychiatric hospital setting.
o You participate in the continuing education of teams to ensure a high level of competence, and contribute to the development and improvement of diagnostic and treatment methods.
The skills required for this position are as follows:
o at least 2 years of experience in hospital and/or outpatient psychiatry
o a spirit of interdisciplinary teamwork and networking
o demonstrate leadership and have a sense of planning
o be capable of making decisions
o driving licence and personal car, to travel to care locations: nursing homes and other partners.
