Founded in Lausanne in 1843, the Asile des aveugles Foundation includes the Jules-Gonin Ophthalmic Hospital, a university ophthalmology service, a research centre, the Educational Centre for Visually Impaired Pupils (CPHV), social services, rehabilitation and low vision, and the Clair-Soleil medico-social establishment.

More than 650 collaborators mobilise every day in the service of visual health to offer diagnostic, treatment and support services to people with visual impairments.

To complete our team, we are looking for a

Low Vision Occupational Therapist

Your mission

• Ensure the development, maintenance and compensation of our clients’ visual capacities in order to promote their autonomy and social integration.
• Assess visual capacities and level of independence
• Advise, adapt, design, within a multidisciplinary framework, optical aids, auxiliary means and environmental adaptations (lighting, arrangements)
• Conduct assessments at home, in professional, school or public environments and propose suitable adaptations
• Ensure the completion and quality of administrative work, statistics establishment, etc.

Your assets

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy
• Specialist training in rehabilitation in the field of visual impairment
• Team spirit and ability to work in an interdisciplinary network
• Comfortable with IT tools
• Creativity in therapeutic approach
• Interpersonal skills, patience and tact with clients
• Driving licence: frequent travel outside
